new year is almost here

hope everyone had a good christmas..Cant beleive its almost the New Year..wow..Hope its a happy one....

well the month of dec, sure was a very knitty one for me..I knitted 2 blankies and crochet 2 others..then i made a scarf and some wrist warmers ..sadly i didn't take pic of the simple wrist warmers and i'm upset about it..i like having a pic..
i did take one of the scarf i made, but didn't take one of the preemie blankie i made..what a mess..lol..hopefully  i will be better next time.

I am working on a new blankie, but doubt i will finish by tomorrow..Its ok, will get to it after i finish my NY ev cast on, new blankie..

onward to Christmas

Doesnt seem possible that its almost Christmas..It seems this year went quick..That could be a blessing or not to some..I pray things will be better in the new year...

So, i finished my baby hats and sent to one of my charities..Did 2 knitted blankies for another charity..Then finished a few more hats and a crochet blankie..So i might get back to squares again, not sure...

Still thinking of what to start on ny eve...
It was cold here last night and this morning also....I have to go out this week to the post office and drop off some hats for NJ..there was a call for hats and i pray mine will keep someone in need warm..So much need in the winter, it bogles the mind..

Anyway, here is the latest blankie, crochet this time..It went quick, just 2 days to do this V stitch blankie..its not that big, so it helps.. I might crochet another, but not sure..

just stopping by to say hi and sharing a pic..Its hat making day today, blankie is on hold..Love making for preemies..Trying to get the right measurements for preemies..One says one thing, someone says something dif about the measurements..so we will see when i send..Hoping a precious preemie will be able to wear one of my hats..As you can see iam knitting another hat, the others were done over the weekend..

still hot and miserable

we have been going through a extreme heat this last week..hope it breaks soon..they are saying its going down, today should be 81-84..its foggy this morning and that was a very welcome sight..it was cool and still cool right now..its dark out still, but should be light out in 10 min or so..

well on the project front, i finished a squares blankie, finished a preemie blankie and started on another..also want to get some squares done, just the same as the other blankie, garter stitch all the way..they are warm for the babies..

been watch rhinebeck vlogs, looks like so much fun..its something i will never experience, but love when they put out the podcasts about it..

is it fall yet?

Cant beleive its almost October..Hope this coming up heat wave, does NOT happen..iam looking for fall not summer again.. lol..
 been busy the last 2 weeks..Been doing baby booties all week, and did 2 baby hats and 4 granny squares...still have not done a baby bootie today..Need to make a few more, although my basket is getting full, which i love...I have to sew them up also, some are done though..

Love to hear the wind blowing, the leaves just scatter as they blow with the wind..I hope this season we will have some rain.

Went out this morning to run some errands, first up was the post office...I dropped off a package with hats, and a scarf going on to New York..Hope it will warm up a child this coming season...Then i went across the street from the post office to Michaels...I saw this yarn, had never seen it before, but its been months since i went to Michaels...I bought a skein, had a coupon for it, much better with a coupon.. I think i will cast on a preemie blankie and see how it works up..Its a lovely variegated color ..i love the colors..it has blues, whites, greens, darker blue, orange..Just a lovely kaleidoscope of colors..Its soft also, which i love..

It was a nice day here today, hot, but not bad...We had a few breezes, always nice..
Been on a roll with preemie blankies...I found another charity i love and they take any size of blankets, which i so love..I knitted two preemie blankies this month..One smaller than the other..I have another charity that only takes 18 x 24, the other blankie is bigger..
Started another two, so have those going now..

Hope you are enjoying the summer, i hope we have a good winter here, we still need rain..Hopefully we will get some this year..

forgot to take a pic of the other one i finished, or i just cant find it..will check and post it here if i find it..

June gloom is here and i am loving it..Sun and hot will be here soon, so iam enjoying the gloom..
it was a nice and very good knitting day..I knitted a little funky little thing..dont even know what to call it, but i love her.. 😊

working on getting more hats knitted..working on one now and a blankie..
have to go out to joanns to get some ribbon and some circular needles..i love the metal ones and joanns doesnt have good ones, the cable is hideous...The more expensive one they didnt have the size i needed..oh well..

Hope you are all having a good safe week so far..here are a few more hats..i might put a flower on the little pink one, not sure..i also knitted 2 little tiny preemie blankies..so tiny..i cant even imagine..

may grey

hello friends, our may has started out grey and a few rain drops here and there...I am so loving it, as i dont like hot, hot weather..So today we have mild rain also...They said it would be a few sprinkles, but it turned into light rain, which i love..

Thinking i might go to joanns and treating myself to a skein of simply soft for some yarn..I gave up on caron simply soft for years, because i had to cut most of the yarn out of the skein..it was horribly freyed, not usable..Dont know where their control people are but they missed the mark on looking after their yarn..So have been only buying a skein here and there when its on sale..I would love to get a skein of baby blue and more baby hats..

the month of April i got 17 hats done, 4 scarves and lots of squares..
It was a good month for knitting/crochet..Love it..
So far i have 1 scarf done and two hats..
Lets keep rocking on with projects..

beautiful Saturday

Its a lovely and sunny Saturday, sunny but not hot..Love it when its not hot..

I went out this morning to Home Depot, decided i was in need of a Easter Cactus..Just thought about it last night and decided to go look..I found a pretty one, white flowers on this one, its tiny but thats what i wanted..Just love it to pieces, also got a tiny jade, it will go in the bathroom, hopefully it will thrive..

I decided the month of april was going to try knitting a baby hat a day..So far doing well with it..I also wanted to do chemo hats, but those take me a little longer, but hopefully i will made some of those also, this month or through out the upcoming months..I didnt want to overwhelm myself..

I finished a tiny preemie blankie, and hope to do another one soon..Right now iam also knitting on scarves...I found another charity that i like and want to make scarves for them..The charity is called Handmade especially for you...Its for shelters for abused women...

what i am working on

 i am working on a Lent Challenge for  one of my groups..I am  working on grannies for the challenge...I made 30 grannies just have to weave in the ends on some and put two more rows on a few others...I had done 30 already but something went wrong, so i made 30 more, and will donate the others from the first 30...In between those i knitted 2 hats for another charity and i started a preemie blankie....Anyway, now that the 30 squares are almost done i can go on with other projects..

It was a nice day here today, not cold, not hot, but warm..No winds..Yesterday was windy and cold, but today was just a gift from heaven..

where do you craft?

Just wanted to stop by and say hi...🌝 I was wondering what kind of crafting area do you have? is it small, or big...I love  my little nook, my fave chair is there and its in my room..i love knitting/crocheting there.I also pray there, its a nice little place to gather my thoughts and talk to the Lord..Knitting at times calms me, i always have to be busy with my hands... Praying soothes my soul..

i have a few things on the needles, a hat, and two blankies...Hopefully i can stick with just knitting one at a time..Usually that's not the case..One day at a time..


so this is my little knitting nook..its a small little table, but i have what i need in that space and its enough for me..

when stress hits me, i pick up my needles or hooks..Stress and Anxiety has been hitting me heavily this beginning of the new year..

Anyway, sent a few more squares to one of my charities...Knitted 2 baby hats..Working on a blankie now and crochet some more squares for Bev for a nursing home..

Lovely day

well its a gorgeous day out, sunny, blue skies...Its not warm nor cold, just right..
I worked on some squares this week and started and finished a hat..First hat of the new year, its nice..
NY Eve blankie is still going..

I am having plant fever again and am propagating a jade plant, and a spider plant..Found a pot for it out in the garage and will use it for the spider plant..I am hoping to find a golden pathos at the grocery or maybe home depot...I'll have to see..Would love to hang it in my room...

Yesterday i cleaned the house and decided to clean the closet...the closet is a thorn at my side, too much clutter and yet no room to move it some place else...But i got some stuff to throw out, and cleaned what i could..Feels good to get it cleaned up as best as i can..

Happy New Year....I am praying daily for this New Year to be a happy one for us all..

My current project is the new years eve blankie that i casted on last night..I am trying really, really hard not to start other projects while i work on this blankie..I always veer off the road and start new stuff, but hopefully i wont this time..
